Dying Embers title graphic

Dying embers is a short film about how children perceive the world. It’s a celebration of the rugged beauty of Cornwall and the sea. And it’s about mystery, adventure and the cycles of nature.

Although inspired by a Japanese folk story, Dying Embers will be Cornish through and through. The film will feature budding Cornish actors, be produced by a Cornish crew and will be filmed entirely on location in Chapel Porth, Cornwall.

Dying Embers is a low budget project, but we believe everyone should get paid something for their time, which is why we’re asking for donations. We also want to feed and water everyone – pasties and tea are the perfect fuel for film making!

“Dying embers can always be rekindled…” (Haruki Murakami)
